Neuron Soundware — AI Acoustic Monitoring for Predictive Maintenance

Overview

Neuron Soundware applies machine learning to the sound and vibration a machine makes while it runs. An experienced technician can often hear that a machine is about to fail; the system learns that same signature from data and monitors it continuously, so developing faults are flagged before they become breakdowns.

  • Predictive maintenance: continuous monitoring of running machinery, with alerts when the acoustic signature drifts away from normal operation.
  • Rotating equipment: motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes and bearings, where mechanical wear changes what the machine sounds like.
  • Production-line monitoring: equipment health tracked across a line rather than checked during scheduled inspections.
  • End-of-line quality testing: acoustic signature used as a pass or fail check on assembled units.
  • Retrofit onto existing machines: monitoring added to equipment already installed, without replacing it.
  • Catches faults before failure: the value is in unplanned downtime avoided, not in the measurement itself.
  • Non-invasive: listens to the machine from outside; no process interruption to take a reading.
  • Continuous rather than periodic: a problem that develops between scheduled inspections is still caught.
  • Complements structural inspection: this monitors machines in operation — it is not a substitute for X-ray, CT or ultrasonic examination of a component.
  • Local support from Merkel: evaluation, installation, training and service in Israel.
